Arizona State Requirement Details for Real Estate Pre-Licensing Education

Hours Required by the State: 96 hours
- 90-hour salesperson pre-licensing course
- 6-hour contract writing course
Seat Time: The Arizona Department of Real Estate requires that all students spend a minimum amount of seat time engaged in the course content. Our online course delivery system manages this requirement for you.
Pre-Licensing Final Exams: Final exams must be passed with a minimum of 75%. A student may retest a maximum of two times. Otherwise, students failing the end-of-course examination must repeat the course prior to being eligible to take the end-of-course examination again.
Proctoring Final Exams: The state requires that your final course exam be proctored. You’ll need to schedule an appointment with an online proctor in advance. Upon passing the final course exam you will be asked to sign an affidavit verifying your identity as the student who completed the course and the final course exam. Licensing Exam: The licensing exam is administered by PearsonVue. Registration for the state licensing exam is an entirely separate process from proctoring for your course final exam. For instructions to register for your state licensing exam and further information, please click here.
Course Completions: Students must participate in each course for the number of hours of credit awarded and daily course segments cannot exceed 10 hours. Our online course delivery system manages this requirement for you. Per AZ regulations, the salpesperson pre-licensing course final exam time is not included in the 90 hours of seat time.
